Grad Summit An On-Campus Volunteer Opportunity
CSUSB and San Bernardino City Schools are co-hosting a Grad Summit on Saturday, November 15, 2014. This is an important event for local middle and high school students, and a fantastic, high profile on-campus service opportunity!
There will be 2 different volunteer opportunities. Here are the following:
1. Pre-Event Volunteer: Assembly Volunteers are responsible for assisting host committee members to assemble all items for conference bags which include –program booklet, campus maps, give-away items, etc. Other items such as conference badges, sign-in sheets, supplies, raffle tickets, signage, etc. may also assembled by volunteers.

When: Wednesday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
2. Event Volunteer: There will be 10 different volunteer opportunities during the event each has different assigned task. Please click on the event volunteer for the full list and the schedule for volunteer training.

'Tis the Season to be Giving
Several of our partners need your help. Thanksgiving is around the corner and they need your help in fullfilling their wish list for their Thanksgiving dinner or basket drive.
Catholic Charities San Bernardino and Riverside Counties is serving Thanksgiving dinner at Brandin' Iron Saloon on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. However, they are in need of the following items before Thanksgiving:
- 40 turkeys/ham (donated by Nov. 14)
- Table decorations (for 40 tables)
- Smart & Final - size #10 cans of corns (20 cans), string beans (20 cans), peas and carrots (5 cans), and cranberry sauce (7 cans)
- Bags (5) or boxes (15) of instant mashed potatoes
- Stovetop stuffing mix (100 boxes)
- 6-ounce bottles of water and/or juices (22 cases)
- Already cooked pumpkin (or other) pies

Foothill Family Shelter needs your help in providing Thanksgiving Baskets to family in need. If you would like to donate a basket, please click on the shopping list to get a full list of what can be donated. Baskets are needed by Tuesday, Nov. 19 at noon.

2014 Holiday Resource List
The 2014 Holiday Resource List is here! This list was compiled through our partnerships with numerous agencies serving the communities of San Bernardino County with the intent to distribute it to our communities and the agencies that serve them. Included are Thanksgiving and other holiday meals provided in the community, food basket and turkey giveaways, food distribution sites, clothing giveaways, toy giveaways, holiday events and parties, parades and resource fairs.
Colton Community Services Department needs your help!
City of Colton Community Services Department is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner and they need volunteers to help serve the community.
Where: Hutton Luque Community Centers

Volunteer at a Fun Walk to benefit the American Diabetes Association
Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is part of the American Diabetes Association's Stop Diabetes movement and the signature one-day, fundraising and awareness walk taking place in 135 cities across the United States. Step Out helps raise money that will change the future of diabetes and the lives of 25.8 million American children and adults living with diabetes today. Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the event, including set-up, registration, participant support, water distribution, etc.

Annual Mary’s Table Food and Toy Drive
The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley will be assisting Mary’s Mercy Center with their annual Mary’s Table food and toy drive by collecting food for people as well as pets, and new toys for children. Mary’s Table is open six days a week and serves approximately 7,000 meals each month. During their holiday celebration over 1,000 meals are given out.
Where: Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley’s Veterinary Clinic (374 W. Orange Show Road in San Bernardino, CA) will have collection barrels available to drop off items
When: Beginning Monday, November 3, 2014 through Monday, December 8, 2014
*Receive one free ticket voucher per family for an Ontario Reign Hockey game when you donate (while supplies last).*
Toy Drive and Gift Wrap Volunteers needed!
Toy Drive for children at Muscoy Elementary School and Vermont Elementary School. Distribution date is Wednesday, December 10 at Vermont Elementary from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Toys will be collected for ages 0-17 yrs.
All collected toys, should be dropped of by Monday, December 1 at Latino Health Collaborative office- Medical Office Building, 1800 Western Ave, Ste, 402, San Bernardino.
Volunteers are needed to help wrap all the toys.
When: December 2 and December 16. Time TBD.

Muscoy Toy Drive organized by Latino Health Collaborative
Latino Health Collaborative is having a Toy Drive for the holiday! They will be collecting toys for kids ages 0-17 years old. The deadline to collect toys will be on December 1.
Toys will be distributed on Wednesday, December 10 at Vermont Elementary from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
They will also need volunteers to help us wrap on December 2 and December 16. Time and location TBD.

Volunteer with Trinity Youth Services
Each month we have unique volunteer opportunities for people looking to help out local foster children. With the holidays fast approaching we are looking for individuals that want to volunteer for our yearly gift wrapping booths at local Barnes & Noble bookstores and we will have opportunities for volunteers in Rancho Cucamonga, Montclair, and Redlands. In addition, we will need help sorting and packaging Christmas presents.

Share the Holiday Spirit through the Salvation Army
Since 1887 The Salvation Army has helped Inland Empire residents in need, providing food, shelter, education and addiction recovery. The Salvation Army is pulling out all the stops in making sure needy individuals and families receive warmth and attention this holiday season.
The Salvation Army annual holiday campaign starts now! Consider providing holiday gifts at the Sharing Tree. We will be collecting toys at The Inland Center Mall in San Bernardino, from Nov. 28-Dec. 24. Volunteers are also needed to staff the sharing tree location, work as bell ringers with our kettle crews and help out during our Thanksgiving and Holiday dinners.
